Kelly Stickney

MS, RYT 500, C-IAYT
Yoga Therapist and Instructor

Kelly holds a vision of a world full of unlimited potential, where each person has all the tools in their possession to realize their dreams and purpose. Only through the willingness to know ourselves and ability to share that energy with each other can we unlock the door to our power. Yoga is an ancient science offering tools to a holistic view of the person: our strengths, obstacles, goals, and needs. This information is the key to living a fulfilled life of peace and well-being.

Kelly has 20 years of experience practicing yoga and five years teaching various styles of yoga to people of all walks of life, always thrilled by the process of unfolding and seeking deeper meaning on the journey of one’s connection to self and source, including her own. Her focus lies in foundational mind-body connection through hatha yoga and somatic and anatomical exploration and in spiritual connection with practices such as meditation and a fusion of yoga and healing qi gong called Pangu Yoga. She earned a masters degree and certification in yoga therapy to join the cause for yoga to be seen and heard by the western medical view of medicine, as well as to expand her own horizons and deepen her commitment to understanding herself and mission.

A yoga therapy session asks you to create goals for your future, and then we journey through the 5 layers of your being as they are now. These layers include the physical (your body), the energetic (your breath, sleep, and energy cycles), the mental (your thoughts, emotions, and relationships), the cognitive (how you view your actions and patterns and the world around you), and the spiritual (your connection to source energy and joy). We explore the tools of yoga to bring those layers together and discover what resonates with you and your needs. You may learn a breath technique, a physical posture, a guided meditation focused on compassion, or other tool to help you gain a perspective that will more closely align you with your goals.
